Manufacturing Supervisor

At Panasonic since January 1999

Some people say they are from a small town, but I truly am. I grew up in Colquitt, a city with a total area of 8.3 square miles in South Georgia. Basic automobile restoration is a hobby of mine and I have worked on many restoration projects, including my first undertaking with a 1963 Chevy Impala that took about two years to complete. Another passion of mine is coaching and mentoring young kids in various athletics. I enjoy being able to serve those in my community.

Prior to Panasonic I worked at a metal stamping facility. Here, I was the Lead Robot Line Technician for five years. This company was also a Japanese based business and shared similar values with Panasonic.

In 1999, I desired a change in lifestyle and wanted to be challenged with new endeavors. I am pleased to say that Panasonic has lived up to the challenge and during my employment I have had the privilege of holding many different job titles and responsibilities. I began as a Machine Operator on the production floor and quickly advanced into a Machine Keeper position. I went through several phases as a Machine Keeper before advancing to a Shift Group Leader. During April of 2003, I was promoted to Production Supervisor and became the Machinery Maintenance Supervisor/Special Project Leader after a few years. Currently, I am the Manufacturing Supervisor. With this position comes the responsibilities of general production, machinery maintenance, electrical, facilities, as well as special projects. It is quite a challenge, but I welcome the opportunity. My personal motto is “You name it and we will frame it!”

Panasonic has also allowed me to continue my education while under its tutelage, primarily on the softer skill sets which are needed to excel in a supervisor position. This company has provided me with a great wealth of knowledge that has truly changed my perspective and outlook on life.

One of my favorite things about working here is the value Panasonic has regarding people. We provide a service to society and for that I am grateful. It feels wonderful to know that you are changing the lives of others. I have also learned that everything in life is important. What may not be important to you may be of the highest importance to others. I am forever thankful for the opportunities I have experienced at Panasonic that have helped me grow in all aspects of my life.
